
Learn more about your child's strengths and areas for improvement. Communicate with your child's teachers and therapists. The more you know, the better you can help your child and yourself.
Read, Read, and Read some more! Take time each day to read with your child. Engage in discussions about what you are reading. You can ask Who, What, When, Where, and Why questions to start your discussions.
Give your child your full attention when possible. Pause and look at them when you are communicating with one another.
Don't expect perfection. Celebrate your child and the skills being taught and acquired!
